REJECTION LETTERS

This painting was a part of the exhibition "The ugly ducklings" in gallery Green Is Gold in Copenhagen May 2015. The painting shows letters of rejections while I was finishing my stage design studies at KHIO in 2008. The performance was under censorship because i made critical statements in my work. This was not approved by the schools administration. I finished my show one year after, with good remarks. Meanwhile i made this painting of the letters trying to cope with the refusal. The exhibition was curated by curated by Asle Lauvland Pettersen, my former classmate. It was all about rejected art, collapsed artistic processes and failure. All photos by GREEN IS GOLD
